HOLY WEEK AND EASTER AT ST. GEORGE’S

Everyone is welcome these services which commemorate the crucifixion and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Special seasonal music at all services.

April 13 – Sunday of the Passion – Palm Sunday. Sung Eucharist at 10:30 AM. Rev. Father Sherpard Gwende presiding. Music for the Eucharist: New Plainsong Mass (David Hurd).

April 17 – Maundy Thursday. Footwashing, Eucharist, Striping of the Altar at 7:30 PM. Rev. Father Sherpard Gwende presiding. Rev. Canon Dr. Peter Flynn preaching. Music for the Eucharist: New Plainsong Mass (David Hurd).

April 18 – Good Friday. Stations of the Cross Liturgy at 10:30 AM. Rev. Father Sherpard Gwende presiding and preaching.

April 19 – Easter Vigil – Joint Assiniboia Deanery Service. The service is being held at St. Andrew’s Anglican (Woodhaven), 2700 Portage Avenue, at 7:00 PM.

April 20 – EASTER DAY. Sung Eucharist at 10:30 AM. Rev. Father Sherpard Gwende presiding and preaching. Music for the Eucharist: William Mathias
